DESCRIPTION

The PENN Affinity III Spod is a fantastic longcast reel that has been especially designed for spodding and marking. It is equipped with the best features to make this reel as durable as possible. Cosmetically it matches perfectly with the Affinity III reels, but some major upgrades have been made to make this reel the best in class for spodding. First of all, the reel has an extremely high gear ratio of 5.0 per turn, resulting in a retrieve speed of 120cm per turn. Next to that, the large egg-shaped handle knob gives extra grip and comfort for fast retrieving. However, where this reel really differentiates from the competition is that we have used out patented and super strong CNC gear – making it as strong and durable as it can get and because of the 7 sealed stainless steel ball bearings runs very smooth, even under pressure. Because of the extra slow oscillation system in combination with the long stroke, shallow and conical shaped spool, a perfect line lay is created with both mono and braided lines, resulting in extreme casting distance. And last but not least, the spool has 2 strong round metal line clips.
